Hua Lian is a city in the middle eastern part of Taiwan. It touched me the most so far because this place has some amazingly beautiful parks, mountains and I have met some really nice people, yet I was told many of them are very poor. Two major industries here are marble and mochi.

The mountain you saw in the pictures has lots of marble but the problem is the transportation.

After a 15-hour flight, I have arrived Taiwan today! With no time for jet lag, I started the tour of Taipei city just 1 hour after checking into to the Grand Formosa Regency Hotel, one of the best in the city.

I have an amazing tour guide Helen and jumped on a tour bus, 7 hours later, I already visted 3 local interests, had breakfast, lunch and took tons of photos!  In 2 hrs, dinner at one of the best local restaurants, so here you go, images say more than words!  Places visited: National Palace Museum-AMAZING! Confucius Temple-CALMING! Rong Hua Temple-INTRIGUING!  Day 1 is action packed, stay tuned for more about this fascinating place, did I mention this is my first time ever visiting Taiwan?
