My first time at Julia (www.nonsociety.com) and Randi (the first sister of Facebook)’s bi coastal birthday bash was a blast!! It was stylish, fun, tasty-oh vodka and cupcake by melissa despite the heavy snow, hundreds showed up in preppy pink 80s outfit at the Gates. I have never seen so many pinks in my life and it was beautiful—and a sudden realization that I didn’t have a real pink shirt or dress, dahhh, what does that mean?  I do own lots of RED, YELLOW—the color of Chinese flags, ha! If you don’t know nonsociety yet, check it out, it’s just like the party filled with fun stuff for young urbaniters, especially women. For those didn’t know Randi, if you use facebook, you really should because she the face and sister of its founder =)

Highlights/observations of the evening:

1 I first bumped into domestic bliss contributor Jordan and COO Megan. Jordan was sooooo sweet, prettier even in person and you can’t beat her designer look and only cost $1.5 salvation army pink skirt! She is the queen of the “salvation makeover!!” Check out her blog (jordan.nonsociety.com) Megan was lovely and so warm to talk to.

2 Julia went in to the party like, a force. I can’t find a better word, but she was very right to the point, right on the job, definitely know how to pose, pretty and lovely.  Even I have written a fashion week story for nonsociety as a special contributor in September (http://julia.nonsociety.com/post/194685481), Julia and I have never met until this weekend. ha! Yes surprise? So I was glad to finally meet the fab five of non society!

3 Randi was soooo down to earth and warm like sunshine!  You hardly can tell this is the facebook princess!

4 Julia’s parents remind me of mine. Dad is academia and mom is care taking warm giving, and with the photo now you can see where Julia’s got her look, more like mom!

5 Meghan was soooo beautiful! She was fun to talk, girlie girl and good luck with your new online “research!”

6 Katrina was tall and cool. She was the only one I didn’t talk among non society—hmmm, let’s keep that for next time.

7 Sid from CNN was such a gentleman, fun to talk to and was so supportive of the hard overnight shift—he did it for 5 years! 5 years of overnight shift, people! That’s hardcore and dedication!

The party was fun filled, good looking crowd and even I normally don’t drink, I downed 2 Ginger Vodka-aka makeshift blush =) It was at a nice lounge the Gates on 24 and 8 ave.  I had tons of fun, did I mention photo booth? Happy Birthday Julia, Randi and toast for a more fun and greater year ahead!  If you are reading this, definitely get ready for next year’s bash, and check out nonsociety!
