My friend and new paradise hunter host (www.paradisehunter.com/vote/Li-Jing.html) voting sponsor NBA star Kevin Willis (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kevin_Willis) went to the best rooftop bar/restaurant in NYC 230 Fifth (www.230-fifth.com) on Sunday during his short stay in NYC. It was Kevin’s first time to 230 Fifth and we were very happy about it!
Even it rained, manager Jared gave us a nice tour of the two floor, 30,000+ SQF restaurant located on the 20th floor of an office building =) What a genius idea-that has to credit its owner Mr. Steven Greenberg! Jared told us about this amazing place, and I LOVE the new party rooms, so beautiful and can fit from 75 to 800+ people! Hmmm, planning my next event here =)
Even I have covered 230 Fifth for NBC NY when it was voted the BEST rooftop bar in NYC, I still WOW by it every time I visit. You will get the best view of Empire State Building, New York Life and we loved the food and service there. I had Sea Bass and Crispy Shrimp and love both =)
I only want to take Kevin to the best places because he is-the BEST, inspiring, caring and passionate about his work! You will know why he is one of the longest playing NBA players if you ever meet him. I was super impressed by Kevin. His fashion brand willisandwalker.com offers high quality jeans especially for the big and tall =) of course. Kevin is always so stylish and so cool to see a NBA player wearing his own design!!
We had an amazing time at 230 fifth! People came to us asking about NBA and wowed by how tall Kevin is, 7’ (or maybe by the 5’8 me=) I was especially surprised that a Chinese guest quickly named the team Kevin played Atlanta Hawks. NBA is huge among Chinese! The evening ended with a pleasant surprise that 230 Fifth treated us for the dinner! Thank you Mr. Steven Greenberg-who is not only biz savvy with many amazing super biz deals but also a very kind host!
It would be the perfect spot for my global host contest victory party and 230 fifth is definitely a dream place for events, dates and friends gathering =)
P.S. I am not saying it bc we got a free meal but I truly love this place and have been visiting for 2 yrs!
